The voice leads of Netflix’s animated feature "KPop Demon Hunters", Ahn Hyo-seop and Arden Cho, are set to appear together on "The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon", one of America’s marquee late-night talkers.
NBC announced the duo will guest on the Jan. 12 broadcast. In "KPop Demon Hunters", they voice the film’s central characters, Jinu and Rumi, introducing the story to audiences around the world via Netflix.
On Fallon, the pair is expected to dish on how they built their characters through voice work, share behind-the-mic moments from the recording booth, and unpack the film’s world and themes. Earlier, other cast members swung by the show for an OST performance; with the co-leads now booked, the global buzz around the project is primed for another lift.
Korean American actor Arden Cho, who plays Rumi, has drawn international attention for the role. She’s long championed Korean culture―rocking hanbok on red carpets and covering BTS’s "Spring Day" and TAEYANG’s "Eyes, Nose, Lips". In past interviews, she noted, “Rumi felt like an extension of me,” adding that she focused on the character’s emotions and identity beyond the K-pop-meets-fantasy backdrop.
Ahn Hyo-seop, meanwhile, extends his footprint beyond live-action with a turn in a global animated IP, further elevating his profile. His Tonight Show appearance marks another touchpoint with mainstream audiences worldwide.
"The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon" featuring Ahn Hyo-seop and Arden Cho airs Jan. 12 at 11:35 p.m. ET/PT on NBC.
