Actor Jang Dong-joo has signed an exclusive contract with Management RUN.
On Dec. 26, the agency said Jang ― whose intense gaze and grounded performances have been winning over audiences ― chose Management RUN after a flurry of offers. With a new project reveal on deck and a lead role in SBS’ upcoming drama "Human from Today" (literal title), he’s positioning himself as one to watch in 2026.
Jang made his debut in KBS2’s "School 2017", then stacked up notable credits including tvN’s "Criminal Minds" and SBS’ "Let Me Be Your Knight." He drew major attention in OCN’s "Class of Lies" (2019), playing teen murder suspect Kim Han-su and delivering a breakout turn marked by raw emotion and razor-sharp intensity.
On the film side, he’s led "Count" and "Handsome Guys," bouncing seamlessly between TV and the big screen. Most recently, he bulked up by nearly 20 kilograms (about 44 pounds) for Netflix’s "Trigger," where he played Jang Jung-woo ― a junior detective and key ally to Kim Nam-gil’s Lee Do ― and turned in a fully committed performance.
Jang next headlines SBS’ "Human from Today," premiering Jan. 16. He plays Hyun Woo-seok, a soccer player whose life stands in stark contrast to Kang Si-yeol (played by Lomon), setting the stage for another buzzy Friday-Saturday RUN.
