Billboard is shining a spotlight on BTS’ long-awaited full-group reunion, calling it one of 2025’s defining pop culture moments as the members return from military service.
On Dec. 19 (local time), the music outlet published “The Top 10 Wildest Music Moments That Defined Pop Culture in 2025” on its official site. Beyond its 10 headline-making picks, Billboard highlighted the first time all seven members of BTS gathered post-service as an emblematic snapshot of the year’s pop culture. The list also cited Kendrick Lamar’s Super Bowl halftime show, Taylor Swift’s wedding, and Netflix’s "KPop Demon Hunters" dominating charts worldwide as culture-shaking moments.
Billboard also rolled out “The 25 Best K-Pop Songs of 2025: Staff Picks,” where J-HOPE’s June solo single “Killin’ It Girl (feat. GloRilla)” landed at No. 24.
Praising the track, Billboard noted its confident creative choices and high-gloss production that extend his global momentum. J-HOPE’s signature flow sharpens the song’s identity, while the layered build toward the back half delivers an addictive hook. GloRilla’s feature adds extra dimension, with both artists’ distinct styles clicking into a natural, dynamic blend.
The single also debuted at No. 40 on the Billboard Hot 100, marking J-HOPE’s highest solo peak at the time of release.
Meanwhile, BTS has teased a new album this spring alongside a massive world tour. During a full-group livestream on the global fan platform Weverse on Dec. 21, they told fans, “2026 is going to be BTS’ year. Something big is coming. It’ll be an important one,” cranking up anticipation for their return and its potential impact worldwide.
