‘Dynamite Kiss’ Rules Its Time Slot for 6 Weeks Straight as Jang Kiyong and Ahn Eun-jin’s Office Romance Swings From Sweet to Scary
Shouldn’t Have Kissed!
‘Dynamite Kiss’ held onto the No. 1 spot in its time slot and led all weekday dramas for the sixth straight week.

According to Nielsen Korea, Episode 11 of SBS’s Wednesday-Thursday drama ‘Dynamite Kiss’ (written by Ha Yoon-a and Tae Kyung-min; directed by Kim Jae-hyun and Kim Hyun-woo) hit a minute peak of 7.4% and posted a 6.2% rating in the Seoul capital area. The show’s momentum remains strong, and its cast is trending too: on the Fundex TV drama buzz index, Jang Kiyong (as Gong Ji-hyeok) ranked No. 1 and Ahn Eun-jin (as Go Da-rim) No. 2 for the second consecutive week.

This episode kicked off the pair’s official office romance after Ji-hyeok and Da-rim finally confessed their feelings. What started out all butterflies―stolen handholds in a packed elevator, sneaky PDA the team didn’t catch, and a giant bouquet to mark “Day One”―quickly turned into a roller coaster as unexpected trouble closed in on Da-rim.

A turning point came late at night in the company archives, where Da-rim helped Ji-hyeok dig up old files tied to his mother’s return to the company. After hearing more about his lonely childhood from his mom, Da-rim wrapped him in a hug―melting the heart of a man who’d never quite believed in love until now.

But the swoon didn’t last. When the Mother TF Team stepped in to support the company’s CS department―infamously the division with the highest turnover―Da-rim took a call from a razor-edged customer and handled it by the book. The caller then spread false claims that Da-rim had belittled them, even releasing a doctored audio clip.

The controversy escalated into a boycott of Natural Bebe. Protesters swarmed the office, and Da-rim found herself in the crosshairs. She and Ji-hyeok went to confront the accuser directly―only for a stroller carrying the customer’s baby to start rolling down a slope. Da-rim dove in and saved the child, prompting a full apology. The customer posted a clarification and released the original, unedited call recording.

Just as things seemed resolved, Gong Ji-hye (played by Jung Ga-hee) appeared at the Mother TF Team office holding Da-rim’s marriage record―evidence that the single Da-rim allegedly posed as a married mother to land the job. With Ji-hyeok and Da-rim’s mutual, full-speed-ahead romance finally underway, the series dropped its most explosive twist yet―an ending that made hearts drop.

Episode 11’s whiplash plotting kept viewers hooked from start to finish, buoyed by Jang Kiyong and Ahn Eun-jin’s easy chemistry and grounded performances. Now fans are waiting to see whether Da-rim can remain on the Mother TF Team―and whether her love story with Ji-hyeok can survive the latest crisis.

‘Dynamite Kiss’ airs Episode 12 on Thursday at 9 p.m.
