AOMG rapper Jvcki Wai has come forward with allegations of dating violence, sharing photos of bruises on her face and both knees as she detailed an incident she says happened late last month. Nearly three weeks after the alleged assault, her label says it’s stepping in with legal support to protect the artist.
On Dec. 12, Jvcki Wai posted that she was assaulted on Nov. 26. She didn’t name the man at the time, but the post included images showing visible bruising and scratches on her face and marks on both knees, signaling what she described as a case of dating violence.
In her account, she wrote that her then-boyfriend allegedly kept her confined inside her home, smashed a computer monitor, threatened her with a kitchen knife, and choked her. “Posting was the only way to fully end it,” she added, apologizing to followers if the post made them uncomfortable.
Online speculation pointed to producer Bangdal (Bang Jin-woo), 32, as the man involved. He pushed back on social media, alleging the situation has been misrepresented and claiming he was the one largely injured while trying to stop a “rampage,” describing it as mutual altercation. Jvcki Wai countered that any slap on her part was in self-defense and accused him of distorting what happened.
On Dec. 15, AOMG said Jvcki Wai reported being a victim of dating violence in a relationship and that the matter will proceed through legal channels. The label added it is prioritizing the artist’s physical and mental well-being and providing comprehensive assistance, including legal counsel.
AOMG noted that authorities are reviewing the case and declined to share specifics that could affect the investigation. The company also urged the public to refrain from spreading unfounded speculation or engaging in secondary harm.
Jvcki Wai, who debuted in 2016, joined AOMG in 2022.
