Brand New Music will drop its year-end label single, Brand New Year 2025: "RE:BRANDNEWAL," today (Dec. 15) at 6 p.m. KST.
The label’s signature holiday project, Brand New Year, returns under the banner "RE:BRANDNEWAL" ― a play on “RE:” (as in reply/again), “Brand New,” and “renewal” ― signaling a fresh recommitment to the company’s identity and roots.
This year’s single is especially meaningful: it began as a tribute to the late Lee Min of R&B duo As One. Timed to her birthday on Dec. 15, Brand New Music reimagines As One’s 2006 gem "十二夜 (Twelve Nights)" with the label’s own sensibility.
As One’s Crystal steps out for her first-ever solo vocal performance since debut, preserving the warmth and delicacy of the original. Hanhae, Verbal Jint, Kebee, Bumkey, Vincent Blue, and AB6IX’s Lee Dae-hwi add their signatures, rounding out a deeper, richly textured R&B/Soul sound.
A teaser released Dec. 12 shows a snow-covered field where a mother and child share a tender gaze, amplifying the track’s emotional arc. Notably, the entire music video was created using AI technology, underscoring Brand New Music’s push for innovation and change.
With this project, the label aims to honor Lee Min while spotlighting its timeless core ― and hinting at the road ahead.
Brand New Year 2025: "RE:BRANDNEWAL" goes live across major streaming platforms today at 6 p.m. KST.
