The Wednesday?Thursday series (written by Ha Yoon-ah and Tae Kyung-min; directed by Kim Jae-hyun and Kim Hyun-woo) has rom-com fans hooked, riding a wave of domestic buzz and topping Netflix’s Global Top 10 (Non-English) for the week of Nov. 24?30.
A big part of the show’s charm is the slow-burn push and pull between leads Gong Ji-hyeok (Jang Ki-yong) and Go Da-rim (Ahn Eun-jin). They’re crazy about each other but can’t quite say it, and that delicious tension―plus snappy, high-energy direction―has viewers’ dopamine spiking.
Episode 7, airing Wednesday, promises to crank that tension even higher, finally unveiling the much-teased cave sequence featuring Ji-hyeok and Da-rim.
In new stills, the pair duck into a mountainside cave to escape a downpour. Da-rim curls up, while Ji-hyeok keeps his distance, unsure whether to move closer. How did they end up stranded together in the first place?
As night falls, the mood shifts: they sit facing each other, fingers intertwined, and Ji-hyeok’s gaze burns. In a previous teaser, he tells her, “I’m wavering too,” seemingly answering Da-rim’s tipsy confession that she’s been wavering herself. What happens when they finally inch past the line?
Then comes the twist: Kim Sun-woo (Kim Moo-joon) shows up. Even in front of him, Ji-hyeok refuses to let go of Da-rim’s hand, his resolve hard as steel. Expect a charged face-off with Da-rim caught in the middle.
According to the production team, Episode 7 marks a turning point as Ji-hyeok fully recognizes his feelings, deepening the central romance. The cave scene, they tease, captures the duo’s emotions at their most intoxicating―so buckle up for a dopamine surge from Jang Ki-yong and Ahn Eun-jin.
Episode 7 of Kiss Was a Bad Idea! airs tonight (Wed., Dec. 3) at 9 p.m. KST.
