After wrapping a packed schedule with ALLDAY PROJECT, the duo headed to the practice studio―pizza in hand―for a quick bite and debrief.
“How was your first group gig?” member WOOCHAN asked. Lee didn’t miss a beat: “With events, if you keep saying yes, there’s no end. You’ve got to draw the line.”
The members loved the firm hand. “You cut things off cleanly―honestly better than our own managers. It made us feel secure. You two should be hired full-time,” they joked, showering the pair with praise.
“That’s a first for me on this show,” Lee laughed, while WOOCHAN added, “Seeing you puts me in a good mood,” giving a special shoutout to Kim Kwang-kyu too.
Practice over, it was time to shoot some Reels. Kim took the lead, brainstorming with the members and trying takes exactly the way they asked. The chaotic first attempts had everyone cracking up, so Lee jumped in as well―stiff at first, but nailing the final take.
“Our choreo actually shows better when Tom and Jerry shoot it than when the company staff does,” the members raved, nicknaming Lee and Kim after the classic duo.
With the day’s work done, the team celebrated with a K-BBQ feast. As a seasoned senior, Lee offered the rookies heartfelt advice about navigating the industry.
He also spoke up for ANNIE’s dad: “I know he must be worried sick.” ANNIE teased, “He probably didn’t think I’d actually debut, right?”
“I knew you were training,” Lee said. “But with your mom not exactly thrilled, I wasn’t sure. Debuting matters―but breaking big right away is even harder. That’s the dream.” He toasted her success.
Lee revealed ANNIE’s dad used to be in a band. “I’ve never seen him with a book,” Lee joked. “He loves music―back in the day, whenever we drank, he’d start rapping.”
ANNIE chimed in, “At family gatherings, we’d rent a karaoke machine and I’d do duet rap with my dad.”
“He can fire off rapid-fire English bars,” Lee laughed. “If you inherited musical talent, you got it from him.”
ANNIE added with a grin, “Whenever my parents talk about their wild college days, Uncle Seo-jin is always in the story.”
After filming, Lee reflected, “There’s a big age gap, but they treated us like peers, and I’m grateful. They’re really young―in the best way. So upbeat and fun.”
Asked for the day’s standout moment, ALLDAY PROJECT picked Tom’s Reels shoot, and they also praised Jerry’s decisiveness at the venue―Jerry being Lee Seo-jin and Tom being Kim Kwang-kyu.
Parting words for the next star on “Manager Seojin”? “Let Jerry handle the work―and spend your fun time with Tom.”
