Disney+ original series "Made in Korea" has unveiled striking character stills of Jung Woo-sung as prosecutor Jang Geon-young, teasing the star’s first drama in two years.
Set in 1970s South Korea amid upheaval and breakneck growth, the thriller tracks a high-stakes showdown between Baek Gitae (Hyun Bin) ― a KCIA section chief bent on turning the state into his profit engine ― and Jang Geon-young (Jung Woo-sung), a relentless prosecutor who hunts him to the brink as they collide with era-defining conspiracies.
After standout turns in "12.12: The Day," "Asura: The City of Madness," "The King" and the "Steel Rain" franchise, Jung makes "Made in Korea" his first foray into a streaming series. His character, Jang, is a self-made prosecutor who clawed his way up from a harsh upbringing. Beneath an easy laugh lies a dogged investigator; when he begins to suspect Baek’s money-and-power scheme inside the KCIA, he refuses to yield an inch.
The newly released stills spotlight Jang’s razor-sharp intensity and on-the-ground grit. In one image, he sits in a dark room, headset on, laser-focused ― like a soldier in a silent battlefield, ratcheting up the tension.
Another shot captures him outdoors, sweat-drenched with piercing eyes, channeling raw ferocity and the single-minded resolve hidden behind his unassuming demeanor.
"Made in Korea" debuts on Disney+ with two episodes on December 24, two more on December 31, followed by one episode each on January 7 and January 14 ― six episodes in total.
