Actors Kim Hyun-joo and Bae Hyun-sung have boarded director Yeon Sang-ho’s new mystery project, 'Lost Paradise.'
The story follows Ryu So-young, a mother whose life froze after a camp-school bus vanished nine years ago―until her long-missing son suddenly returns as a teenager.
Kim Hyun-joo plays Ryu So-young, a mother who retraces her child’s last known route night after night. She’s set to carry the drama’s aching heart while steering its central mystery. The role reunites her with Yeon after the Netflix series 'Hellbound' and 'The Bequeathed.'
Bae Hyun-sung portrays Ryu Sun-woo, the son who resurfaces nine years after a mysterious accident. Known from mega-hit dramas 'Hospital Playlist' and 'Our Blues,' Bae is poised for a striking image shift here.
'Lost Paradise' is the latest entry in Yeon’s ultra-low-budget slate following 'The Ugly,' with a reported price tag around KRW 500 million. With casting and pre-production complete, cameras are set to roll in December.
