Actor-singer Yim Si-wan is set to release his first solo EP, "The Reason," on Dec. 5, teaming up with Kangta for the project.
"The Reason" is a five-track set anchored by the title song, spotlighting a refined, emotive sound and a fresh side of Yim’s musical taste that fans haven’t heard before.
One standout, "Where I Need To Be," is a warm, piano-led pop ballad that puts his nuanced vocals front and center, capturing the honest wish to linger longer with loved ones.
Another track, Pieces, leans into band-driven pop rock, piecing together cherished memories into a storyline that lands with a lasting emotional punch.
The project has already drawn attention with Kangta serving as executive producer, marking the first release under SMArt.
Yim Si-wan’s The Reason arrives Dec. 5 at 6 p.m. KST on major streaming platforms.
