YouTuber Mimiminu to Refund All Ad Fees After Study App Implodes

YouTuber Mimiminu, whose channel counts 1.89 million subscribers, apologized after a study app he endorsed abruptly went bankrupt, leaving test-prep users facing losses.

In a video posted November 25, he explained that he met the CEO in person, vetted extensive materials, and discussed two ad campaigns from June 2024 through October 2025. “I only learned the company had filed for bankruptcy from an email sent the day it happened,” he said, adding that the company had allegedly kept even its own board in the dark about its worsening finances.

The app, called “Part-Time Study,” let users put down a deposit and promised to return it with a bonus if they hit their target study hours. The company suddenly announced its collapse and said deposit refunds would not be available.

“I feel responsible to viewers who trusted my channel and used the service,” Mimiminu said. “I will return the full amount of ad fees I received, plus additional funds, to those affected. Starting now, I’ll contact victims, verify claims, and send the promised payments as quickly as possible.”
