Set to premiere in the first half of next year, tvN’s new unscripted series “Bogum Magical” follows licensed barber Park and his real-life pals as they run a special barbershop in a remote countryside village, offering fresh cuts and a little soul care along the way. The trio will connect with locals, trade stories, and build the kind of warm memories that make small-town life feel cinematic.
Park, who picked up his certification while enlisted and used to cut fellow soldiers’ hair, once imagined trying his hand at life as a stylist ― and now that daydream is coming to life. He’s already got serious skills, and word is he’s been practicing nonstop. Expect him to do more than clean up a fringe: he’s aiming to lift spirits, too.
Lee Sang-yi, a scene-stealer across dramas and variety, is poised to win over villagers with sharp observation and endless energy, turning the shop into a true neighborhood hangout.
Meanwhile, Kwak Dong-yeon ― long praised on variety shows for his quick, capable hands ― will be the resident MVP. With years of solo living under his belt, he’s ready to cook, fix, and problem-solve whenever the shop hits a snag.
The trio reportedly spent about a year getting “Bogum Magical” off the ground, from scouting the location to remodeling and design. With a friendship forged on set and strengthened off-screen, they’ve poured real heart into the project ― and they’re hoping it sparks plenty of laughs, warmth, and a touch of magic.
