Roh Jae-won has boarded Disney+'s upcoming original series 'Made in Korea.'
Set in 1970s South Korea, the period thriller centers on Baek Ki-tae (Hyun Bin), a ruthless KCIA climber who treats the nation like a business model on his way to the top, and the relentless prosecutor chasing him down (Jung Woo-sung) as their cat-and-mouse collides with era-defining scandals.
Roh plays Pyo Hak-su, the intelligence section chief at the KCIA's Busan branch. A longtime colleague of Baek Ki-tae, Pyo serves as a conduit to fixer Cheon Seok-jung (Jung Sung-il) and bureau chief Hwang (Park Yong-woo), all while keeping everyone guessing where his loyalties lie.
After making his screen debut in the feature "Driving School," Roh built steady buzz with film "Ditto" and Netflix dramas "A Killer Paradox" and "Daily Dose of Sunshine." He then delivered a layered turn as Nam-gyu across "Squid Game" Seasons 2 and 3, earning attention at home and abroad.
Roh is also set for Season 2 of Netflix's "All of Us Are Dead," keeping his hot streak going. With "Made in Korea" now on his slate, anticipation is high for his next moves.
"Made in Korea" premieres December 24 on Disney+.
