ATEEZ’s SAN opened up about the downsides of his fan-dubbed “Grand Duke of the North” persona.
On the November 18 episode of SBS’s "Invitation from Bachelor Again," guests Sam Hammington, magician Choi Hyun-woo, WJSN’s DAYOUNG, and ATEEZ’s SAN join the cast for some rapid-fire banter and big laughs.
Fresh off ATEEZ becoming the first K-pop boy group to take the Coachella stage, SAN joked that his regal image comes with unexpected headaches: “On music shows, I always have to make sure both nipples aren’t showing,” he said, cracking up the room while eyeing Choi Hyun-woo’s so-called “disappearing-nipple” magic trick. Host Tak Jae-hoon quipped, “He’s more innocent than his image―easy to train,” sending everyone into stitches.
Meanwhile, DAYOUNG―riding high on the charts with her solo release―claimed she has a built-in “trash-man radar.” When the cast pressed, “So who pings the strongest among us?” she tried to sidestep with, “You’re all recyclable.” The comeback only fueled the bit: “So you’re saying all four of us are trash?” Chaos ensued.
Later, Choi Hyun-woo, often teased as a real-life “wizard,” weathered the cast’s relentless attempts to expose his tricks and still pulled off a stunt that appeared to teleport one of Lee Sang-min’s prized belongings. “That’s impossible,” Lee gasped, as DAYOUNG laughed, “Glad you’re using your powers for good.”
Elsewhere, Sam Hammington made up for missing senior comedian Kim Jun-ho’s wedding by gifting him a sack of rice―only to cheekily add, “Come to think of it, I did show up to your first wedding and gave cash,” playfully dredging up Jun-ho’s “forbidden” past and detonating more laughter on set.
