SBS’s Friday-Saturday drama 'Would You Marry Me' (written by Lee Hana; directed by Song Hyun-wook and Hwang In-hyuk) follows two leads who enter a 90-day sham newlywed arrangement to snag a luxury newlywed-home giveaway. Powered by Choi and Jung’s sparkling chemistry and brisk pacing, the series keeps hitting personal-best ratings as it sprints toward the finish line.
As Kim Woo-joo and Yoo Meri, the duo serves up a sugar-sweet romance that has viewers swooning ― fans even dubbed them the “Woojoo x Meri” couple. The show has rolled out a string of swoon-worthy beats, from the surprise cover kiss in episode 3 and the staged PDA in episode 4 to the picturesque reed-field kiss in episode 7 and the tearful reunion kiss in episode 9.
Amid all those moments, the cast singled out one that stands above the rest.
“For me, it’s the reed-field kiss in episode 7,” says Choi Woo-shik. “We filmed in a stunning location, and the final cut turned out even warmer and more beautiful than I imagined ― especially sharing it with Meri. It’s when Woo-joo and Meri’s feelings are at their most honest and pure, so it really stays with me.”
Jung So-min chose the same scene. “It’s the moment when Woo-joo and Meri’s long, intertwined history opens into a new beginning,” she explains. “I especially loved that they finally set down their baggage and have a sincere, heart-to-heart conversation.”
With just two episodes left, 'Would You Marry Me' is closing in on its finale. Episode 11 airs Friday, Nov. 14 at 9:50 p.m. KST on SBS.
