Premiering Friday, Nov. 21, SBS’s new Friday-Saturday drama "Taxi Driver 3" (written by Oh Sang-ho, directed by Kang Bo-seung) continues the hit saga based on the popular webtoon, following the secretive taxi company Rainbow Taxi and driver Kim Do-gi as they deliver vigilante justice for the wronged. With previous seasons peaking at a formidable 21 percent nationwide―ranking among the top five broadcast and cable dramas since 2023―the mega-IP’s comeback is already fueling major anticipation.
On Friday, Nov. 7, the series dropped its second teaser, and it wastes no time: a pulse-spiking car chase with cab No. 5283 tears down the highway, jolting the adrenaline from the jump. Then comes the cheeky tagline―“Why are we back? Because the world is crawling with bad guys”―hinting that the villains have leveled up across the board.
From K-pop to sports to gaming, predators are exploiting every scene, setting the stage for Rainbow Taxi’s five-person crew to return after two years and swing the hammer of revenge. Curiosity is surging over the cases they’ll crack and the corruption they’ll expose.
This time, the rogues are meaner and more varied―and Kim Do-gi (Lee Je-hoon) meets them with upgraded, bone-crunching action. The Rainbow crew’s undercover alter egos also get a major glow-up. With direction that bounces from noir to thriller, crime, mystery, comedy, and even romance, "Taxi Driver 3" promises a wild, multi-genre ride.
The teaser’s final beats reunite the squad―Kim Do-gi, CEO Jang (Kim Eui-sung), Go Eun (Pyo Ye-jin), Choi (Jang Hyuk-jin), and Park (Bae Yoo-ram)―locked in and ready to roll. Their unshakable chemistry is set to thrill longtime fans as they cut down villains of every stripe and deliver that signature cathartic payoff.
The quintessential K-caper roars back as the follow-up to the current SBS Friday-Saturday series "Would You Marry Me." "Taxi Driver 3" premieres Friday, Nov. 21 at 9:50 p.m. on SBS.
