Premiering Wednesday, Nov. 12 at 9 p.m. KST on SBS, the Wednesday-Thursday series from writers Ha Yoon-a and Tae Kyung-min and directors Kim Jae-hyun and Kim Hyun-woo follows a single woman who pretends to be a mom to land a job―and the team leader who falls for her. Tossing out the classic rom-com rulebook―no more saving the kiss for episode four―this one starts with the kiss, teasing a dopamine-surging ride from the jump.
Ahn plays Go Da-rim, a bright, resilient woman who reunites at work with her former almost-something, played by Jang Ki-yong (as Gong Ji-hyeok), after a “seismic” kiss from their past. Da-rim is that ray-of-sunshine heroine you can’t help but root for―and the role marks Ahn’s first full-on rom-com, with a character that mirrors her natural charm, fueling fan excitement.
From job seeker to office worker to pretend mom―and even a faux wife―Da-rim constantly shifts gears. “Because Da-rim’s situation changes minute by minute, there’s never a dull moment,” Ahn says. “She keeps running into hurdles, and I chose to lean into whatever was right in front of her. As she clears each challenge, she grows stronger.”
The role wasn’t easy, but Ahn poured her heart into Da-rim―and into the show’s fizzy, lovable romance―making it effortless to dive deep into the character and story. That affection is poised to carry straight through the screen.
