On tonight’s episode of SBS’s variety show “Manager Seojin”, Ji Chang-wook and D.O. appear as the featured “My Star” clients. The duo, who team up as leads in the Disney+ original series “The Manipulated”, mark the show’s first-ever two-male “My Star” lineup, with Lee Seo-jin and Kim Kwang-kyu stepping in as their managers for some hands-on care.
Lee has previously set the bar for sweet service ― from downing comedian Lee Soo-ji’s soondae soup to escorting Uhm Ji-won on a red carpet. But on this commute run, he snaps back into his famously prickly mode, joking, “I told you not to book guys,” to big laughs. And Kim Kwang-kyu, who’s usually the one behind the wheel, flips the script by nudging Ji Chang-wook to drive ― the boldest move in “Manager Seojin” history so far.
In the teaser, Lee steamrolls the pair’s suggestions. “Yeah, I was kinda mad,” D.O. admits ― while avoiding eye contact ― and Ji asks with a hollow stare, “Was there anything I actually got to do my way?” Fans on social media are already loving the vibe: “Their faces alone are entertainment ― and their chemistry is hilarious,” and “Funny duo meets funny duo ― inject it straight into my veins.”
Though Lee Seo-jin and D.O. have both appeared in multiple series from producer Egg Is Coming, they’ve never crossed paths on a project ― making this first-time chemistry test another reason to tune in.
Can the “Manager Seojin” crew power through the complaints and finish the promo schedule in one piece? Ji Chang-wook and D.O.’s tongue-in-cheek call-out of Lee Seo-jin and Kim Kwang-kyu’s manager style gets its full reveal tonight on “Manager Seojin,” airing at 11:10 p.m. KST on SBS.
