A teaser that aired at the end of the Nov. 5 episode of tvN’s "You Quiz on the Block" featured Park as next week’s guest.
Introduced by host Yoo Jae-suk as “back and looking healthy,” Park drew attention with a newly cropped hairstyle. “There were so many rumors swirling, so I came on 'You Quiz on the Block' to let people know I’m okay,” she said of her decision to appear.
True to form, Park kept the mood light, trading jokes with hosts Yoo Jae-suk and Cho Sae-ho. Then Yoo gently broached her health, noting, “No one was more shocked than you, right?”
“I had an outdoor shoot on the books and thought, ‘I’ll go and then start radiation,’ but when they opened me up… this is the first time I’m talking about it,” she teased, hinting she’ll share her story in full on the show.
Pointing to her short hair, Park joked, “When I shaved it, I said, ‘Don’t I look like Furiosa?’” When the room hesitated, she laughed first and told them, “It’s okay to laugh,” showing her signature good humor.
The teaser closes with Park visibly emotional as she watches a video message addressed to her.
Park was diagnosed with early-stage breast cancer during a health check earlier this year. She has completed radiation therapy and is currently undergoing medication, according to previous reports.
