BOYNEXTDOOR is on a tear. According to Billboard’s charts dated Nov. 8, the group’s fifth mini album 'The Action' debuts at No. 40 on the Billboard 200 ― a 22-spot jump from 'No Genre' (No. 62). It’s their fifth straight entry on the 200, the only K-pop act from their debut cohort to go five-for-five, following 'WHY..' (No. 162), 'HOW?' (No. 93), '19.99' (No. 40) and 'No Genre' (No. 62).
The rookie sensation also rockets to No. 1 on Emerging Artists and World Albums, while landing at No. 7 on Top Album Sales and No. 6 on Top Current Album Sales. On the Artist 100 ― which blends sales, streaming and radio ― BOYNEXTDOOR ranks at No. 25, the highest of any K-pop boy group this week.
Self-crafted songs are driving the global surge: hooky melodies and universally relatable lyrics are resonating with listeners worldwide. JAEHYUN, TAESAN and WOONHAK ― long active in the group’s songwriting ― are joined by LEEHAN on the title track 'Hollywood Action,' sharpening BOYNEXTDOOR’s signature. Momentum from their first headlining run, 'BOYNEXTDOOR TOUR 'KNOCK ON Vol.1',' has galvanized the fandom, and 'The Action' now marks the group’s third consecutive million-seller.
With promotions wrapped, BOYNEXTDOOR will take the Day 1 stage at the 2025 MAMA Awards, set for Nov. 28-29 at Hong Kong’s Kai Tak Stadium, to meet fans from around the world.
