SBS's new Wednesday-Thursday series "Dynamic Kiss" (written by Ha Yoon-a and Tae Kyung-min; directed by Kim Jae-hyun and Kim Hyun-woo) premieres Wednesday, Nov. 12 at 9 p.m. KST. The rom-com follows a single woman who pretends to be a mom to land a job and the team leader who falls for her ― a mutual-pining romance that kicks off with a kiss and promises a dopamine rush, aiming to reignite SBS's weeknight romance craze.
As Go Da-rim, Ahn plays a bright, unflappable heroine who stays sunny no matter how tough things get. It’s her first full-on rom-com after a run of acclaimed roles, and anticipation is high to see a character that mirrors her own charm. Ahn spoke with us about the project and what drew her to Da-rim.
“I’d been wanting to do a bubbly, adorable romantic comedy, and this script found me at just the right time,” Ahn says. “Each episode left me giddy, and the endings were irresistibly tantalizing.” She adds, “The more I read, the more I wanted to make it as fun as it felt on the page” ― and that sealed her decision to sign on.
On playing Da-rim, Ahn shares, “No matter what life throws at her, Da-rim meets it head-on and wins with her own energy. She’s always proactive, bright and positive ― traits I relate to, which made stepping into her shoes feel natural. Thanks to Da-rim, I felt cuter and more lovable; I was happy throughout the shoot.”
True to her character, Ahn brought upbeat energy to set, lifting both cast and crew, according to the production team. With that chemistry, filming wrapped smoothly ― and they’re hopeful those infectious good vibes reach living rooms when "Dynamic Kiss" airs.
