Korean animated feature 'Your Letter' has pre-sold to 166 countries, underscoring K-animation's growing global pull.
The film follows transfer student Sori, who discovers a mysterious letter tucked in a classroom desk and embarks on a clue-by-clue search for the next letters that follow.
Fresh off buzz from major festivals―including the Ottawa International Animation Festival (OIAF) and the Animator International Animated Film Festival―the movie is emerging as a breakout K-animation title, now locking in international releases alongside confirmed pre-sales across 166 countries.
Pre-sales span Asia (including Japan), Europe (Italy, Spain, the U.K.), North and South America, Singapore, Australia, Malaysia, Indonesia, and Thailand. The overseas rollout is underway: Vietnam opened on Oct. 10, followed by Indonesia on Oct. 22, Malaysia on Oct. 23, Singapore and Thailand on Oct. 30, with North America set for early 2026.
At home―where Japanese animation often dominates the box office―the film has been generating strong word of mouth across generations since its Oct. 1 release, earning raves from moviegoers despite stiff competition.
The well-crafted K-animation feature 'Your Letter' is currently playing in theaters across Korea.
