Rising actress Han Ga-eul, 25, has been revealed to be the real-life niece of screen icon Won Bin (Kim Do-jin), 47.
On Oct. 21, a local media report stated that Han is the daughter of Won Bin’s older sister. A representative for Han’s agency, Story J Company, confirmed the news, saying, “We’ve verified that the details reported so far are accurate.”
Won Bin is the youngest of five siblings, with three older sisters and one older brother. His third sister, Kim Do-kyung, currently serves as the head of EDEN9, which represents Won Bin and Lee Na-young. Han, meanwhile, signed with Story J Company, home to stars including Kim Tae-hee, rather than EDEN9.
Known for her doe-eyed charm and ethereal vibe, Han first appeared in the music video for Nam Young-joo’s 2022 digital single “Again, Dream.” She recently made her small-screen debut in MBC’s Friday-Saturday drama "To the Moon," playing Jang Ye-jin, an intern on Maron Confectionery’s marketing team.
Her uncle Won Bin has been on a 15-year acting hiatus since the 2010 hit "The Man from Nowhere." He married actress Lee Na-young in May 2015, and the couple welcomed a son that December.
