On the 13th, SBS confirmed its new Friday-Saturday series "Taxi Driver 3" will premiere November 21 and unveiled a teaser poster to kick off the countdown.
Based on the webtoon of the same name, "Taxi Driver 3" (written by Oh Sang-ho, directed by Kang Bo-seung) follows the shadowy Rainbow Taxi team and driver Kim Do-gi as they deliver eye-for-an-eye justice on behalf of victims failed by the system. Lee Je-hoon, Kim Eui-sung, Pyo Ye-jin, Jang Hyuk-jin and Bae Yoo-ram are all set to return, signaling the comeback of Korea’s favorite no-nonsense antihero squad.
Built on its distinctive premise―a taxi service that avenges the wronged―the franchise has become a genre unto itself, blending cathartic action with a socially conscious edge. The Rainbow Taxi family―Kim Do-gi (Lee Je-hoon), Jang (Kim Eui-sung), Go-eun (Pyo Ye-jin), Choi (Jang Hyuk-jin) and Park (Bae Yoo-ram)―has only grown more compelling with each season, while the series has revisited real-world crimes like illicit sex-crime chat rooms, cult scams and high-profile club-gate controversies, setting it apart from standard crime thrillers.
Since 2023, "Taxi Driver" has ranked among Korea’s top-rated broadcast and cable dramas, peaking at 21% nationwide and cementing its status as a proven mega-hit IP and a model for seasonal K-dramas. The show also traveled far beyond Korea, topping Viu’s most-watched list in 16 countries within 10 days of release, and winning Best Drama Series at the 28th Asian Television Awards (ATA)―firmly establishing it as a standout in the K-caper space.

The new teaser poster lands a punch with the Rainbow Taxi logo returning after two years and a simple, bold tagline: “The Third Ride Begins.” The silhouette of Do-gi’s signature “5283” cab hints at bigger scale and higher stakes when "Taxi Driver 3" roars back.
Backed by Korea’s Ministry of Science and ICT and the Korea Communications Agency (KCA) as a 2025 supported production, "Taxi Driver 3" premieres Friday, November 21 on SBS and will stream across Asia, the Middle East and Africa on the pan-regional OTT platform Viu.
