On the Oct. 11 episode of SBS’s Friday-Saturday drama "Would You Marry Me", Kim Woo-joo (Choi) finally agrees to pose as Yoo Me-ri’s (Jung) spouse after much hemming and hawing.
The pair make it to a prize-giveaway ceremony, where a real ID is required. Woo-joo claims he left his card in the car and rattles off memorized personal details to skate past the checkpoint.
When told the drawing needs press coverage, he pivots again, saying he might be under the weather and throwing on a face mask to dodge the cameras.
With the event wrapped, Me-ri signs the prize acceptance form, and she and Baek Sang-hyeon head out to tour a townhouse.
They unexpectedly run into Woo-joo, who’d said he was heading home first. Hearing Woo-joo “needs a hospital,” Baek offers to drive him, prompting Woo-joo to backpedal that he just got a negative result and doesn’t need to go. Baek then shepherds the “newlyweds” to the townhouse instead.
After the walk-through, Baek asks when they plan to move in. Me-ri floats buying the place outright, citing commute concerns.
Baek explains there’s a catch: sales are off-limits for now. Per the giveaway rules, the title can transfer only after three months, and only then can they sell. The clause, he notes, was added after an overseas winner accepted a similar prize and immediately divorced, turning the promotion into a punchline. If this couple splits before the three-month mark, the prize is void. Any issues with that?
Me-ri plays it cool: no problem―they can camp out for three months and sell later.
One more twist: Baek says there will be regular in-person checks to verify occupancy―but since he’s a resident himself, there’s no need to schedule visits. He lives right across the street, which leaves Me-ri and Woo-joo visibly rattled.
In the closing moments, Woo-joo bumps into Kim Mi-yeon and Jang Eung-soo at the complex. Just then, Baek and Me-ri appear, setting the stage for even messier entanglements ahead.
