Three-piece band Y2K is officially back. The trio signaled a full-scale return with a buzzed-about set at last month’s 2025 Busan International Rock Festival, marking their first performance together in 23 years.

Y2K kicked things off with “Bad,” which they recently showcased on the Korea-Japan Top Ten Show, then cranked up the energy with “It’s Okay” and “Why?”―turning the field into a sea of cheers.

Leaning into the nostalgia, they slipped into signature ballads “You Inside Me,” “Deep Sorrow,” and “Hidden,” sparking a massive singalong before closing on a high with their defining hit “After a Breakup” and a fan-dedicated “First Love.”

The festival appearance drew heavy anticipation even before doors opened, as it reunited Ko Jae-geun, Matsuo Yuichi, and Matsuo Koji on one stage for the first time in more than two decades. The set doubled as an emotional homecoming and a confident statement that a new chapter has begun.

On their official social channels, Y2K also teased a standalone concert titled “Y2K Still Rising Ever-Evolving Live.” Full details will be announced soon via the group’s socials, with fans eager to see how the trio has evolved during their 23-year hiatus.

“We’re grateful for the overwhelming support after all this time,” promoter Rockin Korea said. “The upcoming concert is being prepared with the artists and staff moving as one, so longtime fans can turn their patience into lasting memories. Please look forward to it.”
