
The 46th Blue Dragon Film Awards is locked for Nov. 19, with submissions now open for the Chung Jung One Short Film Award starting Sept. 30.
This year’s ceremony will be held at KBS Hall in Yeouido, Seoul. Launched in 1963 to champion Korea’s film industry, Blue Dragon has grown into the country’s signature movie honors, known for a transparent, rigorous judging process. Expect a festive night that brings together the talent that defined Korean cinema this year―and the fans who celebrate it.
Through the Chung Jung One Short Film Award, Blue Dragon has consistently spotlighted next?gen filmmakers with fresh ideas, inventive perspectives and serious potential. Organizers are seeking narrative shorts that showcase originality and a distinct voice.
Eligibility is open to Korean nationals and foreign residents in Korea (including international students). Entries must be narrative short films running 40 minutes or less, completed on or after Oct. 14, 2024.
Online submissions run from Sept. 30 (Tue) to Oct. 12 (Sun), 2025, closing at midnight KST. After a preliminary screening, finalists will be evaluated by a jury of industry professionals, who will determine the winners.
Winners will be announced live at the 46th Blue Dragon Film Awards on Nov. 19. Full guidelines are available on the event’s official website.
