Airing Monday at 10:10 p.m. KST on SBS, "Same Bed, Different Dreams 2: You Are My Destiny" welcomes back the couple whose pure, unaffected love deeply moved viewers.
After topping its time slot in August, the duo returns two months later. Since then, Jung wrapped a buzzy exhibition in Taiwan and is gearing up for an exchange show in Africa in November―very much a world-class artist on the move.
But the vibe this time is a 180. In the middle of a casual chat, Jung suddenly blurted, "I'm just winging it!" Jo replied, "I'm sorry," and the tension in the studio spiked.
Facing a full-on communication breakdown, the two sit down for couples counseling―and the raw confessions leave even the MCs stunned. When Jung admits, "I'm hurt," the room goes silent. Will the once-lovey-dovey duo find their way back?
Meanwhile, with their first holiday after the wedding, Jo’s mother visits their newlywed home. Unlike her earlier indifference to cooking, Jung rolls up her sleeves―and even nails the tricky flip for jeon, surprising everyone. Panelists Lee Hyun-yi and Lee Ji-hye can’t help but gush. Anticipation is high to see what festive spread this “perfect daughter-in-law” moment delivers.
The episode also reveals, for the first time, the heartbreaking family history of Jung’s husband, Jo Young-nam, who has a developmental disability. Because money was tight, Jo’s father―who had liver cancer―passed away at home without ever receiving hospital treatment. Jo’s mother recalls, “When I was pregnant with Young-nam, my husband pushed me around in a handcart,” evoking the drama "When Life Gives You Tangerines."
Catch the five-months-married couple’s first-holiday story on "Same Bed, Different Dreams 2: You Are My Destiny", airing Monday at 10:10 p.m. KST.
