Actors Moon Woo-jin and Lee Seung-yeon took home the Actors of the Year honors at the 30th Busan International Film Festival.

The pair was recognized at BIFF’s Vision Awards ceremony, held at the Signiel Busan Hotel Grand Ballroom in Busan’s Haeundae district, for standout turns in "The Accordion Door" and "The Gorals," respectively.

Created to spotlight breakout performances in Korean independent features, the Actor of the Year award is presented to one male and one female performer from titles screened in the Korean Cinema Today - Vision section. Past recipients include Choi Woo-shik, Koo Kyo-hwan, Jeon Yeo-been, Lee Joo-young and Kim Geum-soon. This year, jury members Lee Jung-eun and Teo Yoo took the stage to present the honors.

In "The Gorals," Lee plays Seo-hee, a high school student, for director Yoo Jae-uk, while Moon delivers as Ji-soo in Son Kyung-su’s "The Accordion Door."

Moon is a familiar face from commercial features like "The Priests" and "Omniscient Reader." Lee is a fast-rising talent, expanding her range with "Boundary," the drama "Vanished, Taste" (literal title), and the feature "Journey to Face Them."
