"Tempest" follows Moon-ju (Jun Ji-hyun), a United Nations ambassador with global clout, as she hunts the mastermind behind an assassination attempt on a presidential candidate. Alongside her is San-ho (Gang Dong-won), a stateless covert operative sworn to keep her safe. With Episodes 6 and 7 dropping on the 24th, the show’s breakneck momentum has sparked an outpouring of reactions from viewers.
In Episodes 6 and 7, the mystery behind Jun-ik’s (Park Hae-joon) shooting starts to come into focus, dialing up the intrigue. A secretly recorded audio file leaks, igniting a media firestorm over a supposed scandal between Moon-ju and San-ho. Han-na (Won Ji-an) appears at a police station and names Moon-ju as a suspect in the attack. Even with a travel ban slapped on her, Moon-ju refuses to back down―hinting she’ll push forward, even if it means fleeing the country. The question: can she still get to the truth?
Backed into a corner, Moon-ju confronts Ok-seon (Lee Mi-sook) with a plan to force a confession, pointedly asking, “Mother, did you kill a son like that?” The tension spikes when Moon-ju, Ok-seon, and Han-na come face-to-face, only for Un-hak (Yoo Jae-myung) and a team of NIS agents to swarm the scene. What follows is a chaotic shootout shrouded in smoke.
Just as Moon-ju is moments from disaster, San-ho pulls off another rescue. The two cling to each other and dive off a cliff into the sea―setting the stage for an even more unpredictable endgame. And when a wary Moon-ju can’t shake her doubts, San-ho answers with a line that lit up social media: “You don’t have to trust me. I’ll just be right behind you―always.” The chemistry―and the stakes―have fans wondering where their relationship goes next.
