WOODZ Storms Back from Military Hiatus: 'I'll Never Love Again' Hits No. 1
WOODZ

WOODZ roared back from his military hiatus and straight to the top of Korea’s streaming charts, marking a powerful first move post-discharge.

Released at 6 p.m. KST on Sept. 24, the digital single "I'll Never Love Again" quickly swept major platforms including Melon, Genie and Bugs. Both tracks landed on the charts, with the title cut hitting No. 1 on Bugs and reaching No. 5 on the Melon HOT 100 shortly after going live.

The single wrestles with the monotony of everyday life and the things we take for granted, reframing them with a fresh lens for just one day―and asking listeners, “How will you choose to see it?” True to form, WOODZ wrote and composed the project himself, doubling down on authenticity.

"I'll Never Love Again" threads folk textures through an alt-rock framework, pairing WOODZ’s nuanced vocal with a towering choir to channel heartbreak, pain and resolve. B-side "Smashing Concrete" fuses his rap and vocals over an alt-metal surge of guitars and drums, delivering a cathartic “break every obstacle” message with explosive energy.

Even during his service, WOODZ proved unstoppable: his self-written "Drowning" surged back up the charts to No. 1 on platforms including Melon TOP 100, Genie and Bugs, and he even clinched a network music show win―solidifying his presence throughout his military hiatus. This comeback only underscores that staying power.

"I'll Never Love Again" is now streaming across major platforms, and the music video for the title track is available on WOODZ’s official YouTube channel.
