g.o.d’s Son Ho-young hit the Han River for a plogging session, spotlighting how small, everyday habits can add up for the planet.
A video shared on his official YouTube channel on Sept. 23 shows the singer strolling the riverside and picking up litter ― the Swedish-born mashup of jogging and cleaning known as plogging. Expecting a mess after a big event the night before, Son was pleasantly surprised to find Han River Park tidier than anticipated, and kept the cleanup going in good spirits, taking in the scenery between finds.
With K-culture drawing more international visitors to Seoul, he noted that keeping marquee spots pristine leaves a lasting impression of Korea. Pointing to the well-kept Han River Park, he emphasized that simple choices ― like not littering ― matter even more as crowds grow.
He wrapped the outing by sorting the collected trash for recycling, adding that he often plogs during hikes too ― a steady, low-key way he stays engaged with environmental causes.
Meanwhile, Son remains active across TV, variety, live stages and YouTube as a member of g.o.d, the unit HoooW, and as a solo artist. This December, g.o.d will reunite for the “2025 g.o.d CONCERT <ICONIC BOX>,” running Dec. 5-7 at Seoul’s KSPO DOME and Dec. 20-21 at Busan’s BEXCO ― marking the group’s fourth straight year performing as a full unit.
