Suzy won’t be walking the red carpet at this year’s Busan International Film Festival (BIFF).

Her new film, “Seven O'Clock Breakfast Club for the Brokenhearted,” has been invited to the 30th BIFF in the competition section known as the “Busan Awards” and is set to make its festival debut.

While fans hoped to see the star in Busan, Suzy will miss the festival due to overseas filming for the Disney+ series “Delusion.”

“Seven O'Clock Breakfast Club for the Brokenhearted” will screen for festivalgoers starting on the 22nd, with a press conference slated for the 23rd. Co-stars Lee Jin-wook, Yoo Ji-tae, and Keum Sae-rok are expected to appear alongside director Lim Sun-ae.

Suzy is celebrating the film’s BIFF competition berth, but she won’t be on hand for the festival premiere or the press day―a bittersweet turn for a high-profile rollout.

Based on the novel by Baek Young-ok, the film follows a group of the newly single who gather for a 7 a.m. breakfast meetup, swapping mementos of past relationships as they learn to let go. It marks the commercial feature debut of Lim Sun-ae, who drew attention with "An Old Lady." Suzy plays Sa-gang, a flight attendant navigating the sting of a breakup.

After its BIFF screenings, the film is expected to lock in an official theatrical release date.
