How did Kim Seung-soo and Im Won-hee score on their blind dates?

On the Sept. 21 episode of SBS’s "My Little Old Boy," actors Kim Seung-soo and Im Won-hee sat down for back-to-back blind dates.

Kim went first, nervously asking his match for her number to set up a second meeting.

She hesitated―“My number?”―and ultimately didn’t share it, leaving Kim deflated.

Watching from the studio, Kim’s mother winced, saying, “I’m embarrassed for him,” her face a mix of shock and concern.

Then the date added, “That wraps up our blind date,” an abrupt sign-off that left everyone puzzled.

Kim stood up and walked out―while his date stayed put. Moments later, another suitor arrived: Im Won-hee.

The same woman then met Im for a second blind date, leaving the MCs and the show’s “Mom-vengers” panel baffled about what was going on.

Im ran the date in his own style and, like Kim, asked for her number at the end. This time, she took his phone and keyed in her digits herself, stunning the studio.

The twist? It was all a controlled experiment for a dating-coaching segment. Before the full debrief, the two compared notes about swapping numbers. When Kim admitted he didn’t get one, Im couldn’t hide a grin: “You didn’t? I did. Was it just me?”

He piled on: “I thought you got it too―I was just texting her,” needling Kim’s pride as Kim looked visibly crestfallen.

A behavioral psychologist then broke down the dates. Kim, the expert said, came off “like a warm interviewer”―polite but too formal.

As for Im, the expert praised his effort to build rapport but noted his pace was “too fast,” highlighting both strengths and weaknesses.

A teaser at the end of the episode raised alarms for Lee Dong-gun, as a doctor at the hospital mentioned “a rare condition that affects about 1% of the population,” setting up next week’s storyline.
