Jung Jae-hyung, 36, a member of 2.8 million subscriber YouTube channel Psick Univ, is tying the knot with his non-celebrity girlfriend, who is nine years younger, on Nov. 16. The ceremony will be a private affair in Seoul with only family and close friends in attendance.
On Sept. 19, the comedian shared the happy news on social media, writing, "I'm getting married! Haha." He added, "Thanks to all of your support and love, I'm ready to step into a new chapter."
Introducing his bride-to-be, Jung said she is "someone living an ordinary life just like all of you" and called her "my closest friend and a truly special, precious person." He also thanked her for taking the leap with him.
His agency Meta Comedy confirmed the wedding and noted that the fiancée is a private person, asking for continued warm wishes and understanding.
Jung debuted in 2014 as part of KBS's 29th class of comedians. After "Gag Concert" wrapped its original run, he broke big on YouTube with Psick Univ, thanks to standout characters like Jung Kwang-yong of Hansarang Hiking Club, Jung Jae-hyuk from Class of 2005 Is Back, and Bang Jae-ho of B-Daemyeon Date―resonating especially with Gen Z.
