J.Y. Park, JYP Entertainment’s founder and chief producer, marked Stray Kids’ latest Billboard milestone with a gleaming gift: solid-gold plaques for all the members.
The group recently shared photos on their official socials beaming alongside the custom frames, with Park joining the celebration.
Each member received one frame, and each piece contains roughly 75 grams of 24K gold. In total, that’s about 600 grams―valued at well over 100 million won based on recent Korea Exchange prices.
The present commemorates Stray Kids’ fourth studio album, "KARMA," debuting at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 dated Sept. 6. With that, Stray Kids became the first act to notch seven consecutive No. 1s on the chart, from 2022’s "ODDINARY" through "KARMA."
The momentum isn’t just musical. Forbes noted on Aug. 30 that as Stray Kids’ blockbuster sales continued, JYP Entertainment’s shares held steady on Korea’s KOSDAQ, while KED Global reported on Aug. 14 that feverish demand for albums and merch tied to the comeback has been supporting the company’s results―and its stock.
Up next, Stray Kids will take over Incheon Asiad Main Stadium on Oct. 18 and 19 for their standalone stadium show, "Stray Kids World Tour <dominATE : celebrATE>." Tickets sold out instantly, from the STAY 5th-gen fan-club presale on Sept. 12 through the general on sale on Sept. 16.
