Fly to the Sky's Brian is turning heads after revealing he auditioned to voice Bobby in Netflix’s animated feature "KPop Demon Hunters".

On KBS World Radio’s "K-Pop Connection Season 3," Brian let fans in on the secret. “I actually auditioned for Bobby,” he said with a laugh. “I almost was Bobby.”

“I really did the Bobby audition,” he added. “I was on a ton of Zoom calls with Sony and Netflix. I thought things were going my way―then I watched it later and heard Ken Jeong’s voice. That’s when I knew I didn’t get it.”

Brian also shared that the audition process let him see an early draft long before release. “Either way, the movie turned out great, and Ken Jeong delivered it really well,” he said―then shot his shot: “Netflix, Sony―are you listening? If there’s a Season 2, kill off Bobby and bring in Bobby’s younger brother as the new manager,” a punch line that had the studio cracking up.

In "KPop Demon Hunters", Bobby is voiced by Ken Jeong, the physician-turned-actor beloved for "The Hangover" franchise. Bobby manages HUNTR/X, a K-pop girl group; he has no clue they moonlight as demon hunters, but he’s all-in on their careers.
