The film "Boss" is locked for an Oct. 3 theatrical release in Korea.
An action-comedy set on the eve of a syndicate’s leadership vote, "Boss" follows underlings who launch a no-holds-barred game of reverse politicking―doing everything they can to “hand off” the top job while secretly angling for their own dreams. The ensemble features Jo Woo-jin, Jung Kyung-ho, Park Ji-hwan, and Lee Kyu-hyung.
It’s also the season’s only straight-up comedy targeting Korea’s Chuseok holiday frame. With "No Other Choice" opening a week earlier and racking up brisk pre-sales, "Boss" is banking on a time-honored holiday formula: big laughs for the whole family.
