Premiering Sept. 23, "Crime Scene Zero" is a role-playing mystery game where players slip into the parts of both suspects and sleuths to smoke out the killer hiding among them. A beloved Korean cult favorite at home, the Crime Scene franchise now makes its global debut on Netflix, promising a back-to-basics season that doubles down on the thrill of the case itself.
On Sept. 9, Netflix dropped the main poster and trailer, sending anticipation soaring. The one-sheet spotlights Jang Jin, Park Ji-yoon, Jang Dong-min, Kim Ji-hoon, and IVE’s ANYUJIN, all locked in on a crime scene with a razor-sharp tagline: “Trust No One―Again.” It’s a fitting warning for players who must play detective and suspect at the same time in a game built on twists and reverse plays.

The trailer cues up chaos with a lineup of scene-stealing guests. The moment a voice declares, “One of you is the culprit in today’s case,” the psychological warfare kicks in―method-level mind games and all-out mayhem. There’s Joo Hyun-young in a hair-pulling scuffle, Ha Seok-jin deadpanning outrageous logic as if it’s gospel, Jeon So-min channeling a suspicious lawmaker, Hwang In-yeop keeping his cards close, and Park Sung-woong radiating menace by sheer presence. These “spicy” guests look ready to go toe-to-toe with the series’ veteran players.
From a “brainy psychopath” to a sharp-tongued widow and a deliciously unhinged villain, Park Sung-woong, Joo Hyun-young, Hwang In-yeop, Ha Seok-jin, and Jeon So-min arrive as larger-than-life characters built for twists. How they’ll clash―and click―with the core cast is part of the fun.
“This villain makes every past villain look tame,” someone warns, as verbal sparring spirals and the pace goes full throttle―dopamine levels, consider them spiked. A hyper-realistic “suspect taxi” set piece even leaves the cast stunned: “They’ve got this on the Crime Scene set now?” It’s a clear sign the scale has leveled up for "Crime Scene Zero".
"Crime Scene Zero" rolls out in three drops on Netflix: Episodes 1-4 arrive Sept. 23, Episodes 5-8 on Sept. 30, and Episodes 9-10 on Oct. 7―10 episodes total, streaming Tuesdays over three weeks.
