Travel YouTuber KwakTube (Kwak Jun-bin) shared that he’s getting married―and that a baby is on the way.

On Sept. 8, he posted a YouTube video titled 〈A New Chapter of My Life〉, announcing, “We’ve booked the venue. We were originally planning for next May, but an even bigger blessing came along, so we moved the wedding up to October.”

KwakTube opened the clip by reflecting on his journey: “Five years ago, to celebrate reaching 50,000 subscribers, I gathered the courage to share my life story here. Today, I need the same kind of courage to share another big story. Since then, I’ve checked off so many bucket-list dreams―traveling around Korea and abroad, meeting amazing people, even doing TV―and living through some truly overwhelming highs.”

He also opened up about his relationship. “I met my girlfriend before I became well-known. We broke up once when I got busy and neglected the relationship, but eventually, we found our way back to each other,” he said. “She’s much younger than me, but she always boosts my self-esteem and gives me confidence. She doesn’t talk much and is introverted, but she’s someone who has taken care of me and encouraged me even when I felt small and inadequate.”

“I’ve always said I wanted to marry sooner rather than later―within two years―and now it’s happening,” he continued. “And the bigger news is that I’m becoming a dad. We’re a family of three now, which is why we moved the ceremony up to October.”

KwakTube added that he’s long dreamed of building a loving family. “I grew up with wonderful parents, and I’ve always wanted to be a good father and a good husband. With her, I truly felt I could do that.”

The couple has already held a formal family meeting in Busan, he explained. “I’ve always shared my life with you through YouTube, and I want to share this wedding with you too,” he said, promising to show a “more mature and happier” side as a husband and father.

Closing the video, KwakTube said, “It feels surreal to be sharing two such big announcements in such a short time, but I’m incredibly happy. I consider it the greatest blessing. Thank you so much for everything up to now, and I ask for your continued support in the future.”

KwakTube first revealed he was dating in a travel vlog released in mid-August, saying his girlfriend is a non-celebrity he met through an introduction, that they were thinking about marriage, and that most of their dates are cozy nights in.

He later confirmed the relationship on the Aug. 22 episode of the MBN·Channel S variety series "Moo No Plan 2", sharing that she’s an office worker five years younger than him―and joking that they’ve “never had a fight because I always let her win.”
