Breaking from the standard talk show playbook, the series shadows stars in the field as actors Lee Seo-jin and Kim Kwang-kyu step in as one-day “managers,” handling schedules and surprises while capturing unfiltered moments you won’t see anywhere else.
Ahead of the premiere, producers shared the vibe from the first taping, where 2025’s breakout variety favorite, comedian Lee Su-ji, served as the inaugural guest and turned the set into a laugh riot. Slipping into her rapper alter ego “Hambugi,” she kept the energy sky-high with quick wit, while Lee Seo-jin and Kim Kwang-kyu sparked a real Tom-and-Jerry-style back-and-forth that had everyone cracking up.
“From day one, the chemistry blew past our expectations,” the production team said. “Between Lee Su-ji’s standout turn and the rapid-fire banter between Lee Seo-jin and Kim Kwang-kyu, we think audiences will get fresh laughs, real empathy and an unfiltered day in a star’s life.”
"Manager Seojin," which follows the “prickly caretakers” Lee Seo-jin and Kim Kwang-kyu as they take on the manager challenge, premieres Friday, Oct. 3 at 10 p.m. on SBS.
