Director Park Chan-wook’s latest, 'No Other Choice,' has unveiled 11 press stills packed with high-stakes moments.
'No Other Choice' follows Mansoo (Lee Byung-hun), an office worker who thought he had it all―until he’s abruptly laid off. Determined to protect his wife and two kids and hold on to the hard-won family home, he gears up for a personal war to get back into the workforce.
The new images spotlight the characters at critical turning points. Mansoo’s far-off stare, worn down by a prolonged job hunt, hints at deep inner turmoil, while a greenhouse filled with bonsai plants creates a striking piece of visual storytelling.
From a shot of Mansoo in a pulled-down cap striding with a stack of documents, to scenes of him watching and tailing someone and a lineup of resumes, the stills tease a plan being set into motion.
Miri (Son Ye-jin), her face set as if bracing for unexpected news, signals a tougher resolve to push through the crisis. Stills of the worried couple further stoke curiosity about the rocky road ahead.
On the phone, Seon-chul (Park Hee-soon) exudes charisma―a layered figure who swings from swagger to precision, hinting at a standout turn from Park. Beom-mo (Lee Sung-min), buttoned up in a suit, channels pre-interview jitters, while Ara (Yum Hye-ran), clutching books and a cane with a startled look, points to an unpredictable situation barreling her way.
Finally, a nighttime shot of Sijo (Cha Seung-won) inspecting a car―paired with a shadowy figure in the background―amps up the tension.
With a trusted ensemble, dramatic turns, lush imagery, assured direction, and a streak of black comedy, Park Chan-wook’s new film 'No Other Choice' is slated to hit theaters in September.
