Set to premiere on September 5th, the new SBS Friday-Saturday drama 'The Mantis: Original Sin' (written by Lee Young-jong, directed by Byun Young-joo) is a high-intensity crime thriller that unfolds as a brutal serial killer known as 'Mantis' is caught after 20 years, and a copycat crime occurs. To solve this case, a detective, who has harbored a lifelong hatred for 'Mantis'―his own mother―unexpectedly teams up with her. The collaboration between director Byun Young-joo of 'Helpless' and writer Lee Young-jong of '12.12: the Day' heralds the birth of an epic genre masterpiece.
'The Mantis: Original Sin' is generating buzz with the radical transformations of its two leads, Go Hyun-jung (playing Jung Yi-sin) and Jang Dong-yoon (playing Cha Soo-yeol).
