The film 'My Daughter Is a Zombie', starring actor Jo Jung-suk, has clinched the number one spot at the box office for nine consecutive days.
According to the Korean Film Council's integrated computer network for movie theater tickets, 'My Daughter Is a Zombie' attracted 135,718 viewers nationwide on its 7th day, bringing its total audience to 2,519,921.
Since its premiere on July 30th, 'My Daughter Is a Zombie' quickly surpassed one million viewers in just four days and two million in six days. With daily admissions exceeding 100,000 even on weekdays into its second week, the film is poised to break the three million viewer mark this weekend.
'My Daughter Is a Zombie' is a comedic drama about a doting father who goes into top-secret training to protect his daughter, who has become the last zombie on Earth. The movie is based on the webtoon 'My Daughter Turned into a Zombie' by author Lee Yoon-chang.
