On the afternoon of the 7th, the online press conference for SBS's new show 'My Turn' was held. The press conference, which was pre-recorded, featured appearances by Lee Kyung-kyu, Tak Jae-hoon, Choo Sung-hoon, Lee Su-ji, Kim Won-hoon, Park Ji-hyun, and Nam Yoon-soo.
During the event, when asked to describe his role in 'My Turn,' Park humorously self-deprecated, saying, "I guess I'm just playing a dumb character," causing an eruption of laughter among those present. He added, "After finishing second in an audition program, I entered the trot idol scene this time with the goal of taking first place. My role is to ensure that the group never falls apart."
'My Turn' is a B-grade, no-holds-barred fake reality show where Lee Kyung-kyu, Tak Jae-hoon, Choo Sung-hoon, Lee Su-ji, Kim Won-hoon, Park Ji-hyun, and Nam Yoon-soo, each harboring their own desires, aim for a big score under the guise of a 'trot idol project.' In this fake reality show, Lee Kyung-kyu steps up as a producer, determined to resolve his grudge of not being nominated for an entertainment award for years by becoming a trot idol. Tak Jae-hoon, Choo Sung-hoon, Park Ji-hyun, and Nam Yoon-soo join as trot idol members. Lee Su-ji plays various hidden characters, and Kim Won-hoon takes on the role of the trot idol manager. The ambitious journey of these seven individuals, aiming to achieve their goals, unfolds in a delightfully fake documentary-style reality show that blurs the lines between reality and fiction.
When asked if he harbors ambitions of success through 'My Turn,' Park Ji-hyun candidly expressed, "Yes, I do. Through this program, I want to become a top-tier celebrity," once again drawing laughter with his frankness.
Furthermore, Park couldn't hide his overwhelming feelings about standing shoulder to shoulder with such distinguished seniors. He shared, "Honestly, it doesn't make sense for me to be in this lineup. I don't know how this happened. It feels surreal," and expressed his hope, "I want to make the most of this opportunity. I hope people will love it."
'My Turn' premiered at 9 PM on the 7th.
