On the afternoon of the 7th, the online press conference for SBS's new show 'My Turn' took place. The press conference, which was pre-recorded, featured cast members Lee Kyung-kyu, Tak Jae-hoon, Choo Sung-hoon, Lee Su-ji, Kim Won-hoon, Park Ji-hyun, and Nam Yoon-soo.
Tak Jae-hoon hinted that Lee Kyung-kyu is eyeing the year-end entertainment awards through 'My Turn,' saying, "He seems to be really holding a grudge this time. He's been working the hardest on set, truly setting an example."
To this, Lee Kyung-kyu responded, "Given the ups and downs I've faced personally, I have no choice but to give it my all. I'm going to stand tall."
Kim Won-hoon also mentioned, "There was a scene during 'My Turn' filming where Lee Kyung-kyu was accompanied by the police, and that scene really stuck with me," to which Lee Kyung-kyu joked, "I'm an actor who blurs the line between drama and reality. I'm committed to making the audience confuse the two, giving my all to every performance."
'My Turn' is a B-grade, no-holds-barred fake reality show where Lee Kyung-kyu, Tak Jae-hoon, Choo Sung-hoon, Lee Su-ji, Kim Won-hoon, Park Ji-hyun, and Nam Yoon-soo, each harboring their own desires, aim for a big score under the guise of a 'Trot Idol Project.' In this fake reality show, Lee Kyung-kyu steps up as a producer determined to resolve his years of being overlooked for entertainment awards by becoming a trot idol, with Tak Jae-hoon, Choo Sung-hoon, Park Ji-hyun, and Nam Yoon-soo joining as trot idol members. Lee Su-ji shines in various hidden roles, while Kim Won-hoon steps in as the trot idol manager. The ambitious journey of these seven individuals unfolds in a delightfully fake documentary-style reality show that blurs the lines between fiction and reality.
Regarding his chances of winning an entertainment award, Lee Kyung-kyu cautiously stated, "It's only August now, so it's too early to say," but confidently added, "I wouldn't say there's no chance." He humorously linked his personal comeback to the show's title, saying, "When you fall, you rise even higher. 'My Turn' will be my moment to rise. The show's title is my life story."
'My Turn' premiered on the night of the 7th at 9 PM.
