Singer Lim Young-woong has donated 200 million won to assist victims of the recent heavy rains.

On the 21st, the Community Chest of Korea announced that Lim Young-woong, on behalf of his fan club 'Hero Era', donated a total of 200 million won the previous day to support flood victims and local communities affected by the torrential rains. The donation was jointly made by Lim Young-woong and his agency, Mulgogi Music, each contributing 100 million won. The funds are intended for emergency relief, temporary housing, livelihood support, and damage repair for those affected across the nation.

Lim Young-woong expressed, "The sudden heavy rains have threatened our daily lives, and it weighs heavily on my heart thinking about those enduring each day amidst uncertainty." He added, "Though it's a small gesture, I hope it brings some comfort, and I sincerely wish for everyone's swift return to normalcy."

Earlier in March, Lim also made a donation through 'Hero Era' to aid in the recovery from wildfire damage. Mulgogi Music joined him in this effort, contributing to the relief and restoration of affected areas.

Since 2021, Lim has consistently practiced philanthropy through the Community Chest of Korea, with his total contributions now amounting to 2.3 billion won. His donations have supported a wide range of causes, from disaster relief for major wildfires in North Gyeongsang and Gangwon provinces and emergency support for flood damage, to winter living expenses for vulnerable communities.

The 'Hero Era' fan club has also joined the Community Chest of Korea's 'Sharing Leaders Club', continuing regular donations and engaging in various activities like volunteer work, coal sharing, and providing essentials, thereby exerting a positive influence. The collaborative philanthropic efforts of Lim Young-woong and his fans serve as an exemplary model of charity culture built by artists and their fandoms.

The 'Sharing Leaders Club' is a donation program by the Community Chest of Korea, open to various groups such as fan clubs, hobby clubs, alumni associations, and more, that commit to donating at least 10 million won within three years.
