Singer MC Mong is stepping down from his role as the executive producer at One Hundred Label and is heading abroad to study.

On the 17th, MC Mong took to his social media to share a lengthy post, stating, "I feel like my fans should be the first to know," confessing, "I've been struggling with severe depression, health deterioration, and even surgery, making it difficult to continue my music activities."

He continued, "I've decided to leave the producer duties at One Hundred and BPM to Chairman Cha Ga-won, focusing on my health and personal development by studying abroad. It's quite late in life, but I have a burning desire to improve and get healthier," expressing his plans to concentrate on studying music and languages.

Especially to his fans, MC Mong promised, "I will definitely release an album this year, and I'll make sure to hold a concert, the timing of which is uncertain."

Previously, on the 13th, it was revealed that MC Mong had been excluded from his duties at One Hundred Label. At the time, the label stated, "MC Mong has been excluded from company duties due to personal reasons," without delving into specifics.

MC Mong was a co-founder and the executive producer at One Hundred, leading the production for new artists including the girl group Bad Villain.

One Hundred is known as the agency behind THE BOYZ, and is the parent company of Big Planet Made Ent, which houses MILLION MARKET, VIVIZ, Ha Sung-woon, Lee Mu-jin, B.I, TAEMIN and INB100, where EXO's BAEKHYUN, XIUMIN, and CHEN are signed.

MC Mong reflected, "I've lived a life writing songs for others, but I've come to realize late that my music was everything to my fans. My music, which is both my story and yours, is something I promise to return to," he added.
