In a surprising revelation, Jung Sook (nickname) from season 19 of 'I'm SOLO, Love Goes On' disclosed that she had indeed made her final choice, selecting Young Chul (nickname) from season 25, thereby exposing the reality behind the show's editing.
During the broadcast of the fourth 'One More Time Special' episode of 'I'm SOLO, Love Goes On' on SBS Plus and ENA, the final selection results were unveiled. However, Young Chul's appearance was entirely omitted from the show, and the scene of Jung Sook's final choice was also partially cut without any explanation, leaving viewers puzzled about whether Jung Sook had made a choice at all.
Following the finale, Jung Sook appeared on a live broadcast on the YouTube channel 'Chonjang Entertainment TV' and shared, "It wasn't shown on the broadcast, but I did indeed make a choice." She added, "I even had a meal with the other party (season 25's Young Chul) and we kept in touch afterwards, but we didn't continue to see each other."
Jung Sook expressed her gratitude towards the editing team, saying, "It must have been tough editing. I appreciate it," indirectly explaining the situation.
Previously, an online community had buzzed with sightings of Jung Sook and Young Chul looking cozy together in early April, before the airing of 'Love Goes On', along with photos capturing them from behind.
During the live broadcast, Jung Sook humorously remarked, "I'm still clumsy at love, but I'm currently taking dating lessons," adding, "I haven't hit the dating scene just yet."
Earlier, Young Chul became embroiled in controversy after being arrested on charges of sexual assault during the airing of 'I'm SOLO, Love Goes On'.
The Seoul Mapo Police Station arrested a man in his 30s, identified only as Mr. Park, on suspicion of sexually assaulting a woman in her 20s in a parking lot in Mapo District on the morning of June 21. Speculation arose that this individual was Young Chul, who had appeared on season 25 of 'I Am Solo'.
